Daimler Trucks’ Remarketing (DTR) announced Friday it is expanding its SelecTrucks brand and distribution network with the addition of SelecTrucks of Portland and SelecTrucks of Jacksonville.
The additions add 26 locations to SelecTrucks’ national footprint, the company says.
SelecTrucks of Portland will be operated by McCoy Freightliner, based in Portland, Ore. DTR says McCoy Freightliner has established a successful used truck operation under the leadership of used truck department team. They have been fully engaged with DTR for the last several years and have been meeting the goals of a licensee through purchases of DTR-sourced inventory and utilization of the Freightliner Used Truck Warranty.
Going forward, DTR says this standalone used truck location, adjacent to the Freightliner dealership, will immediately assume the SelecTrucks branding and will be fully operational and integrated into our network within the next few weeks.
“This is a very solid compliment to the existing values already being offered to McCoy Freightliner customers. McCoy Freightliner and SelecTrucks represent high customer satisfaction, high volumes, high quality, after sales support including SelecTruck warranty and desirable equipment,” says John Schmitz, general manager at McCoy Freightliner.
“SelecTrucks partnering with McCoy Freightliner strengthens our position even more as the leading Freightliner dealerships in the Northwest,” Schmitz adds. “SelecTrucks has not partnered with another dealer in many years but due to the high volumes that the used truck team is moving, DTNA and SelecTrucks have taken notice and asked to partner with us.”
SelecTrucks of Jacksonville will be operated by Tom Nehl Freightliner under the leadership of Joey Echols. DTR says Tom Nehl Freightliner has a strong used truck presence in the Northeast Florida market with a loyal following. They have been a long term and committed retailer of DTR-sourced trucks and Freightliner used truck warranty.
DTR says SelecTrucks of Jacksonville is expanding its used truck presence by investing $1.2 million into the purchase and renovation of a new standalone SelecTrucks location adjacent to I-10. Renovations are underway for this 3.5-acre facility with 3,000 sq.-ft. of office space fully dedicated to SelecTrucks.
DTR says the location also features two service bays and a separate photo/delivery bay. Construction is scheduled for completion by late summer, followed by a grand opening and the formal introduction of SelecTrucks branding to the market at that time, the company says.
