Paccar Parts celebrates 45th anniversary

Paccar Parts and its employees recently commemorated 45 years as a division of Paccar.

At the Aug. 16 event at Paccar Parts’ campus in Renton, Wash., alumni, retirees and current employees celebrated with acknowledgements from Ron Armstrong, Paccar CEO, David Danforth, Paccar Parts general manager, and others.

From the very beginning, Paccar Parts was a division that strived to deliver the best possible products and customer service, says Armstrong, who also detailed the growth and expansion of the company, from its beginning in a single building to the ever-expanding global operation it is today.

“Everyone at Paccar Parts is proud to celebrate our 45th anniversary,” says Danforth. “Congratulations to the entire organization for providing industry-leading uptime support for more than a million customers around the world with the best dealers, products, the best services, and the best people.”

Darrin Siver, current Paccar senior vice president and former Paccar Parts general manager added that the culture of excellence at Paccar Parts is driven by its employees.

Paccar Parts was founded in 1973 to provide parts distribution, sales and service support to Kenworth and Peterbilt dealers. The first Parts Distribution Center (PDC) was opened in Renton in 1973. In the decades following, additional PDCs were established, first in locations across the United States and then in countries around the world. During this period, Paccar Parts also introduced innovative and customer service driven programs to move customers and businesses forward.

“From the first Roadside Assistance Center in 1999 to the comprehensive vehicle and technical support offered by today’s 365 Center, Paccar Parts is committed to customer support 7/24, 365 days a year,” says Lisa Berreth, Paccar Parts director of customer service.
