U.S. Rep. Don Bacon (R-Neb.) recently spoke on the House floor to recognize Trey Mytty as the 2019 Truck Dealer of the Year.
During his remarks, Bacon highlighted Mytty’s leadership of Truck Center Companies, which is based in Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district.
Bacon commended Mytty for his support of several local charities and his ongoing work to encourage young professionals to work in the commercial trucking industry.
Founded in 1975, Truck Center Companies includes eight dealerships and parts and service facilities in Nebraska, Kansas and Iowa with 575 employees representing Freightliner, SelecTrucks, Freightliner Custom Chassis, Western Star, Thomas Built Buses, Ottawa and Isuzu franchises.
In accepting his award earlier this year, Mytty was gracious and humble, heaping praise on Truck Centers’ 575 employees who helped position him to earn the award. “This is really their award for what they do for us every day,” he said.
The national Truck Dealer of the Year award, sponsored by the American Truck Dealers (ATD), recognizes commercial-truck dealers who demonstrate a track record of success in dealership management, service to the industry and community impact. The award also is sponsored by Procede Software and Heavy Duty Trucking magazine.
