Wabash

Wabash's second quarter net sales were down 9.1% from last year, the company announced Wednesday.

Quarterly revenue came in at $417 million and the company's backlog at the end of the quarter was $956 billion, up 14% over the first quarter of the year.

"The second quarter continued to strengthen our conviction that the freight market recovery is taking shape," says Brent Yeagy, president and CEO. "We are seeing a healthier combination of supply-side forces, safety-focused federal led enforcement and improving carrier economics. Those factors are beginning to translate into better market fundamentals. This matters because carrier profitability is what ultimately frees up capital to support increased replacement demand expenditure."

In the second quarter 2026, Wabash shipped 8,292 trailers, 3% more than the same period in 2025.

The Transportation Solutions division sales were $354.7 million, down 11.4%  year over year. The operating loss for the quarter amounted to $13.9 million, or 3.9% of sales. Parts & Service's net sales for Q2 were $63.4 million, up 6.1% year over year. Operating income for the quarter was $6 million or 9.4% of sales.

For the third quarter, Wabash says it expects its revenue to increase to $440 million-$460 million.
