New trailer door accessory

InventHelp announces one of its clients, an inventor from Massachusetts, has designed a trucking accessory that offers a better way to close a roll-up tuck or overhead door. This invention is patented.

InventHelp says the Protec Overhead Door Strap consists of a weatherproof box with a 2-ft. long strap that can be retracted inside the box using a recoil mechanism. This feature ensures that a user can reach the strap to pull the door down.

InventHelp says the accessory also could eliminate unnecessary replacement of warn straps, prevent the strap from catching on things and protect the strap from the elements. The invention would position the strap safely out of the reach of children.

InventHelp says Protec Overhead Door Strap would be usable on roll-up (tractor-trailer rear door) or overhead doors.

The company adds that the strap would include a weatherproof box that has a 2-ft. long strap that retracts inside the box via a recoil mechanism. While retracted, the strap would be kept safe from the elements, and beyond the reach of children. The box would measure 6 in. tall by 6 in. wide. The strap would measure 2 ft. long and 3 in. wide. The components would be producible from metal, aluminum and nylon, InventHelp says.
