Powerstroke diesel, electrical training classes coming to Texas

Chalkboard with books on deskMike Cleary announces he will host his next training courses in Fort Worth, Texas, in October.

Cleary says the classes will include separate courses, one on truck electricity and electronic diagnostics, and another on Ford 6.7L Powerstroke diesel diagnostics.

Just a few of the topics covered in the electricity and electronic diagnostics class include what really goes on inside your multimeter and how it applies to diagnosis; breaking down wiring diagrams into their simplest components, thereby facilitating diagnosis; why fuses don’t always blow; why Kirchoff’s Laws apply more to diagnostics than Ohm’s Law; and Piezo injector actuator theory and operation.

The diesel diagnostics class will cover powerstroke systems and subsystem strategies and operating systems; low and high pressure fuel systems; dual cooling systems; and how to diagnose and repair the most common fault codes; among many other topics.

The electrical class will be held 6:30-10:00 p.m., Oct. 11, 2019. The price is $149 by Sept. 30, 2019; $199.00 after. The diesel diagnostics class will be held 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., Oct. 12, 2019. The price is $299 by Sept. 30, 2019; $399 after. ASA North Texas members will receive a $50 discount off the aforementioned prices if registered by Sept. 30., 2019

Both classes will be held at Tarrant County College Automotive Department, Ft. Worth, Texas.
