Cox Automotive Mobility teams compete at Top Tech

Top Tech

Cox Automotive Mobility technicians competed in the 2024 Top Tech competition June 26-27 in Indianapolis.

Mitchell 1 administered five hands-on work stations to evaluate competitors using its online repair and diagnostics software. Forty-five finalists tested technical knowledge with written exams and tests in three categories, light/medium duty, heavy duty and trailer.

"it was an honor to participate in this well-organized, prestigious event," says Kristy Coffman, director of Mitchell 1's Commercial Vehicle Group. "It was a great way to celebrate the skills of Cox Automotive technicians and give them the recognition they deserve for their commitment to their trade."

The Service Information Station winners include:

  • Juan Carlos and Felix Rivera, light and medium duty wiring diagrams.
  • Evan Bailey, heavy duty service information.
  • Jose Feliciano, heavy duty wiring diagrams.
  • Dillon Grimes, trailer service information.
  • Brad Elkins, trailer wiring diagrams.

"It was truly remarkable to see skilled technicians proficiently utilizing our web-based information tools perform efficient repairs with confidence," Coffman says. "That's what we're all about — providing the best tools to technicians and making it easy for them to find all the data they need in a single lookup so they can quickly get a vehicle back in service."
