Tectran has released a new heavy-duty series of tender spring kits that are engineered to meet the demands of modern tractor-trailers and keep connection lines where they should be: off the deck of the truck and out of the sight of a DOT inspector.
Tectran says heavy-gauge springs are engineered for modern tractor-trailer connection systems and auxiliary equipment. The connection system models are matched for wrapped AirPower Lines and for heavier coiled systems, and the hydraulic grade models are designed for suspending hydraulic hoses and other heavy applications.
The company adds the springs are RoHS compliant zinc-plated for corrosion resistance, and as 16 in., and 25 in., models the springs are comparable so they can be matched together without one overpowering the other.
The sleeves are attached with stainless-steel hardware for corrosion resistance and durability and feature a grey outer sleeve completely covers the spring when it is collapsed for safe and easy handling. The strong but flexible sleeve material finished with rolled edges for excellent durability and crack resistance, the company adds.
Finally, Tectran says its oversized stainless-steel snap clips for attaching to the truck is standard, and stronger than industry standard aluminum snap clips. They are said to be extremely corrosion resistant and a large opening allows it to snap over round slider bars up to 1 in., in diameter.
