Cool Boss debuted the CB-28HV Desert Storm Series high-velocity portable evaporative cooler Thursday.
The new cooler is the most powerful in the Cool Boss lineup and is designed to military standards to cool expansive spaces at military installations and industrial warehouses.

"It can be challenging to maintain focus when working in oppressively hot situations," says Sean Price, director of sales operations. "In military operations, loss of focus can be deadly. Our new Desert Storm Series evaporative coolers drop the air temperature up to 26 degrees in even huge spaces like aircraft hangars, helping workers be more comfortable, productive and focused."
The Desert Storm has a high-speed, energy-efficient motor with a 28-inch diameter, five-blade axial-flow fan. It can generate nearly 18,000 cubic feet per minute of climate-controlled air. The cooler is designed without a drive belt to deliver higher efficiency and smoother operation, including less vibration and noise, reduced maintenance and longer service life. It features a variable frequency drive (VFD) controller that precisely adjusts the speed of the motor in real time to reduce energy use compared to a direct, in-line motor.
There's a dedicated touchpad control panel for real-time monitoring of performance metrics and the cooler also has a 4,000-lumen adjustable LED floodlight, wireless Bluetooth speaker system and remote control with auto shutoff.
