GreenPower Motor Company unveiled the EV Star Utility Truck on Tuesday at the NAFA 2024 Institute & Expo in San Antonio.
The all-electric, zero emissions truck is the 10th truck upfit solution manufactured by GP Truck Body. It is ideal for agriculture and landscape businesses, carpentry, construction, electrical companies, heating and cooling businesses, government and municipality use, and plumbers, GreenPower says.
"The addition of the EV Star Utility Truck to GreenPower's already robust all-electric commercial vehicle lineup offers our commercial fleet customers another zero-emission solution to fulfill their demands," says Brendan Riley, president of GreenPower. "GreenPower's expertise fuels our innovation, propelling the all-electric commercial vehicle industry forward to meet growing demand for safe, sensible and sustainable fleets."
The new truck has a range of up to 150 miles and a typical payload of 5,500 pounds that can increase to 6,000 pounds, GreenPower says. It comes equipped with optional power sources to accommodate tool charging on the job and a pass-through for storing oversized tools and supplies. The standard bed size is 16 feet, with the option to customize the length and body configurations.
The EV Star Utility Truck is upfitted on the EV Star Cab and Chassis by GP Truck Body, the company's in-house truck building arm. It offers a complete line of truck bodies, including dry freight, refrigerated boxes, aluminum stakebeds, steel and aluminum flatbeds and service bodies.
