TransTec redesigned its Tetra Seal for Sheppard M80/M90 slave gears.
The new seal fits M80 and M90 slave cylinders. The company said those products have suffered from performance issues in the feed and return ports, where high fluid flow and lack of seal support cause it to collapse, partially blocking flow.
The Tetra Seal features a steel core wrapped in FKM rubber, providing a superior seal. The seals have been lab tested 111above and beyond at 5GPM and 2,100 PSI. The seals will be available in three kits — the M80 slave gear seal kit with an L-seal style sector shaft cover, the M80 slave gear seal kit without the L-seal style sector shaft cover and the M90 slave gear seal kit.
The new seal will be available starting in September.
