"Samsara's Commercial Navigation on the driver app gives our drivers smarter routes that actually consider truck restrictions and real-time conditions," says Melissa Docker, operations and asset manager for TP Trucking & Logistics. "It helps us avoid delays, reduce driver stress on the road, and improve efficiency and driver satisfaction. It is intuitive and reliable — a great took for any operation focused on safety and performance."
The new solution takes into account road restrictions specific to commercial vehicles and leverages accurate, real world map data from several sources, including other Samsara devices, global service providers and multiple open source platforms.
Commercial Navigation includes an hours of service (HOS) overlay, that combines with navigation in a single interface. Dispatchers can also change a route and have it automatically update and notify the driver. It supports multiple languages and operating systems.
