Hendrickson to hold suspension training program in June

Updated May 8, 2012

HendricksonHendrickson has scheduled its next round of technical heavy-duty suspension training with the ninth session of its Hendrickson Vehicle Suspension Institute (HVSI).

The ninth session will be held from June 19-22, 2012 at the Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Exton, Pa. The session will be split in half and feature hands-on training covering the Primaax Ex vocational truck air suspension and Haulmaax rubber block truck suspension and suspension system performance analysis, the company says. Hendrickson regional service managers and technical support managers will conduct the training sessions, which are spread over a day and a half.

“The overwhelming feedback on our HVSI program has been outstanding,” says David McCleave, aftermarket/technical services director for the Hendrickson Truck Commercial Vehicle Systems. “It is our objective to train and educate as many technicians and parts professionals as possible to keep our customers’ trucks and trailers on the road and in optimum condition.”

According to Hendrickson, hundreds of technicians from the United States and Canada from independent repair facilities, fleets, and OE service dealerships have participated in the past eight installments. These training sessions have taken place previously in Chicago, Canton, Ohio, Toronto, Montreal, Calgary and Los Angeles. The HVSI program is said to provide technicians, as well as parts and service personnel, with a basic orientation for the recommended installation, service, maintenance and repair procedures for newer models of Hendrickson truck and trailer suspensions. Hendrickson says additional sessions are being planned for 2012 and will be announced at a future date.
