Noregon has debuted its revamped JPRO Certification program.

According to Noregon, the program is used to train and certify users on JPRO, the company’s in-shop diagnostic and troubleshooting application. To date, more than 5,000 technicians, students, and industry professionals have enrolled in the program.

The JPRO Certification program features 13 different learning modules, each focused on a major aspect of diagnostics. Optional quizzes are available at the end of each module to prepare users for the required final. Users who pass the final exam earn a three-year certification distinction and are awarded a diploma and patches to apply to their work attire, the company says.

A major upgrade in this release includes video training materials for each module, the company adds.

“Many technicians are hands-on, visual learners,” says Jason Hedman, JPRO product manager, Noregon. “Based on user feedback, we invested in the creation of a video-based learning format to best meet the needs of our JPRO Certification students.”

Additionally, all content (including quizzes and exams) was refreshed to ensure students learn about the most current equipment, technology, and best practices.

“To keep up with the latest trends in a rapidly evolving industry like ours, we release at least three major updates to JPRO Professional each year,” Hedman says. “Because it is so important for technicians to keep their training and education up to date, we routinely audit and update JPRO Certification materials to reflect the latest features and coverage in JPRO.”

JPRO Certification is available to anyone who wishes to become more proficient on the industry-leading tool. Students at member schools of Noregon’s Education Program each receive a free certification in addition to their free software. These offerings help them enter their career ready to perform at the high levels demanded of them and help bridge the technician skills gap, the company says.
