Kenworth introduces new ADAS options for T680

Kenworth announced three new advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) options for the T680. 

All packages will include the latest version of the Bendix Fusion system with adaptive cruise control with stop and auto go, a pedestrian autonomous emergency braking feature and high beam assist, all with a new forward-looking camera. It also includes previously available technologies such as autonomous emergency braking, multilane autonomous emergency braking, highway departure braking, stationary vehicle braking, lane departure warnings, and the Bendix Blindspotter side object detection.

The packages also include tire pressure monitoring. 

"Driver assistance systems contribute in helping to reduce driver fatigue and enhancing the ease of operating commercial trucks," says Kevin Haygood, Kenworth's assistant general manager for sales and marketing. "These new ADAS offerings will give our T680 customers more options to select features that support safe driving practices and also enhance the overall driving experience." 

The other package options include ADAS Pro, which adds lane keep assist and torque assisted steering, and ADAS Premier, which also adds Kenworth's DigitalVision mirrors.
