Dana Incorporated announced Friday it will close its facility in Robinson, Ill., later this year.
The company informed its employees and local officials last week through a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice. Approximately 80 employees work at the facility, which manufactures Victor Reinz gaskets for the light- and heavy-duty trucks, among other segments.
The move is part of a corporate restructuring by Dana. Layoffs are expected to begin in June with the facility closure coming in October.

Dana previously announced in 2024 its intent to cut more than $200 million in annual costs by 2026, with a focus on selling its off-highway business and streamlining its operations. The off-highway business was officially sold to Allison in January.
Dana has not yet responded to Trucks, Parts, Service, request for comment regarding the closing.
Crawford County Development Association Executive Director Resa Shaner told The Hometown Register local community leaders in Robinson “remain committed to supporting these employees through this transition and to working collaboratively toward future opportunities for our workforce and local economy.”
