The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):

  • Big Tex Trailer Manufacturing is recalling certain 2024 25GN, 25PH, 3XGN, and 3XPH trailers. The oil seals may have been improperly installed, which can cause oil to leak onto the brake system. Oil leaking onto brake components can reduce braking ability and increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 112 units are affected by the recall.
  • Corp. Micro Bird is recalling certain 2019 G5 school buses. A LIN gateway module may fail causing the defrosting system to be inoperative. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems." An inoperative windshield defrosting system may decrease the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 61 units are affected by the recall.
  • Jayco is recalling certain 2020-2022 Entegra Esteem, Odyssey, and Jayco Greyhawk, Redhawk, and Greyhawk Prestige motorhomes. An inadequate connection between the power steering pressure line and the brake hydroboost unit may result in a sudden loss of power steering fluid. A sudden loss of power steering fluid can result in a loss of power steering and power brake assist, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 1,719 units are affected by the recall.
  • Paccar is recalling certain 2025 Peterbilt 536, 548, 567, 579, and Kenworth T280, T380, T480, T680, T880, and W990 vehicles. The steering gear sector shaft may have been improperly heat-treated, which can cause the gear teeth to crack or fracture. Fractured steering gear teeth can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 782 units are affected by the recall.
  • Terex Advance Mixer is recalling certain 2023 Commander vehicles equipped with Composilite SC20 Lift Axles. The bearing journals may not be fully seated in the steering knuckle assemblies, preventing the proper installation of the wheel end hub assemblies. An improperly installed wheel end hub assembly can leak oil, causing the axle spindles to loosen or fracture, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says potentially 12 units are affected by the recall.
  • Winnebago Towable is recalling certain 2024 Access travel trailers. The electrical circuits for the GFCI outlets may have been wired incorrectly, which can cause the outlets to not be protected. An unprotected GFCI outlet increases the risk of electrical shock or injury. NHTSA says potentially 94 units are affected by the recall.
