The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Autocar is recalling certain 2023-2025 E-ACTT vehicles. A software error may allow the vehicle to rollaway while on an incline and cause an engine stall. A vehicle rollaway and an engine stall increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 130 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Freightliner eCascadia and 2022-2026 Freightliner eM2 trucks. The electric vehicle power distribution module (EVDM) may not be assembled properly, which can cause electrical circuits to disconnect and result in a loss of drive power. A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 810 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021 Expedition, 2021-2022 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, F-600, and 2020-2022 Lincoln Corsair vehicles. The rearview camera may display a blank or distorted image. Rearview camera failure can reduce the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 72,624 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Highland Ridge RV is recalling certain 2025 Highland Ridge Open Range 3X fifth-wheel travel trailers. The tire size listed on the vehicle certification label is incorrect. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of 49 CFR Part 567, "Certification." Incorrect tire information may result in the wrong tires being installed, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 89 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Hino Motors Sales USA is recalling certain 2022-2025 NH7A, NJ7A, NJ7B, NJ7C, NV7A, NV7B, and NV7C trucks. Contact with the fender can damage the front right brake tube and cause a leak. A leaking brake tube can delay the front brake actuation time, extending the distance required to stop and increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 19,026 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- New Flyer of America is recalling certain 2023-2024 XDE60, 2024 XD35, XD40, and XD60 transit buses equipped with Cummins L9 diesel engines. The remote fuel filter hoses may separate from the fitting, causing a fuel leak and an engine stall. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 210 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Paccar is recalling certain 2025 Kenworth T180, Peterbilt 535, 567, 2025-2026 Kenworth T280, 2023-2026 Kenworth T380, 2024-2026 Kenworth T480, 2024-2026 Peterbilt 536, 537, and 548 trucks. The exterior lighting switch may fail, resulting in the hazard lights and the instrument display back-light brightness adjustment not functioning. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) numbers 101, "Control and Displays" and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices and Associated Equipment." Inoperative hazard lights cannot alert other drivers as intended. In addition, the inability to adjust the brightness on the instrument panel display can make it difficult to see critical safety information or distract the driver. Both scenarios can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 5,378 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2023-2025 VNR Electric trucks. The high voltage battery may contain loose hardware, which can create a short circuit inside the battery cells. A high voltage battery that short circuits increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 13 units are potentially affected by the recall.
