The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Blue Bird Bus Company is recalling certain 2021-2026 Vision school buses. The brake interlock software may unintentionally activate the parking brake at any driving speed. A bus that stops suddenly without warning, increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 150 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- International Motors is recalling certain 2024-2026 IC Bus CESB school buses. A tire may contact and damage the air dryer discharge line, causing an air leak and the unintentional activation of the parking brake. Unintended activation of the parking brake while driving increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 11,952 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- International Motors is recalling certain 2026 IC Bus CESB school buses. The weld on the crank shaft assembly may fail, preventing the the left-side wiper from working. An inoperative wiper can reduce the driver's ability to see out of the windshield, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 4,778 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- International Motors is recalling certain 2025-2026 IC Bus CECB commercial buses. A tire may contact and damage the air dryer discharge line, causing an air leak and the unintentional activation of the parking brake. Unintended activation of the parking brake while driving increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 14 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Thor Motor Coach is recalling certain 2024-2025 Luminate and Indigo recreational vehicles. The LP tank support tube may be too short and have an insufficient weld that may fracture, allowing the tank to detach.
