The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- E-One Incorporated is recalling certain 2026 Commercial, 2025-2026 Typhoon N, and Cyclone N emergency vehicles. The drive/pump mode transfer case may disengage, causing loss of power to the rear wheels. Loss of power to the rear wheels can prevent the vehicle from moving, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 159 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2026-2027 Wildwood and Salem travel trailers. The Federal Placard may have the incorrect Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR). As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 120, "Wheels and Rims - Other than Passenger Cars." Referencing the incorrect GVWR may lead to unintentionally overloading the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 18 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Orange EV is recalling certain 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER, 2020-2023 T-Series Tandem Terminal Truck, and 2024-2026 HUSK-e Tandem Terminal vehicles. Improper welding may cause frame rails to crack, leading to rail separation. A detached rail can cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 24 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Paccar is recalling certain 2026-2027 Peterbilt 579 and 2027 Kenworth T680 tractors. The trailer air connection quick release (QR) valve in the air brake system may have been incorrectly installed, which can cause the trailer to become unstable after the driver applies the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 121, "Air Brake Systems." An incorrectly installed quick release valve that does not function properly can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says eight units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Shyft Group is recalling certain 2016, 2019, and 2021 Utilimaster Velocity vehicles. Water may enter an improperly sealed strobe light and cause a short circuit. An electrical short increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 563 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Volvo Trucks North America is recalling certain 2026 VOLVO VHD, VNL (4), VNR (4), VN, and VAH vehicles. The steering knuckles may have been manufactured with insufficiently tightened steering arms. A loose steering arm can result in a loss of vehicle steering control, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 3,794 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2027 Navion and View recreational vehicles equipped with certain MaxxAir N-Series Maxxfan rooftop ventilation fans. The printed circuit board may fail during certain operations and overheat. An overheated printed circuit board increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 134 units are potentially affected by the recall.
