The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Autocar is recalling certain 2023-2027 ACTT terminal tractors. The Antilock Braking System (ABS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) may be improperly secured, allowing the ABS ECU to separate. A separated ABS ECU may become damaged, causing the ABS system to fail and increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 137 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Freightliner EM2, Freightliner Custom Chassis S2RV, Freightliner Custom Chassis S2C, and Freightliner Business Class M2 vehicles. A software error may cause the low beam headlights to illuminate improperly. Insufficient low beam headlight illumination can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 23,276 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021-2023 F-150 and 2023-2026 F-250 SD vehicles equipped with 8-in., SYNC infotainment screens. A software error may cause the rearview camera image to be obstructed by the infotainment home screen menu when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility." An obstructed rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 47,587 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Jayco is recalling certain 2025 Entegra Reatta XL, Reatta, 2026 Cornerstone Reserve, 2024-2026 Cornerstone, Aspire, and Anthem motorhomes built on certain Spartan K1, K2, and K4 chassis. The exterior brake lights may remain illuminated when the driver is not applying the brakes. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Brake lights that remain on may fail to alert other vehicles of the driver's intention, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 265 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Newell Coach Corp. is recalling certain 2025-2027 P50 coaches. The steer axle air spring base may crack. A cracked base may result in a loss of air pressure and suspension support, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 51 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Paccar is recalling certain 2027 Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles. Please see the recall report for a complete list of models. The power distribution center (PDC) box may be contaminated with oil, which could result in a loss of drive power, Antilock Brake System (ABS) functionality, exterior lighting, windshield wipers, or the defogging system. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS numbers 103, "Windshield Defrosting and Defogging Systems," 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems," and 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." A loss of lighting, windshield wipers, ABS function, or a loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 5,919 units are potentially affected by the recall.
