The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Alamo Group Inc. is recalling certain 2022-2026 Royal Truck & Equipment Class 2 Traffic Control trucks equipped with a Wanco sign board. The solar panel screws may loosen, resulting in a partial detachment. A dangling or completely disengaged solar panel may hit other vehicles or pedestrians, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. NHTSA says 110 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Chrysler is recalling certain 2019-2026 Ram 1500 vehicles. The second-row seat belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages." An improperly installed seat belt buckle anchor may fail to properly restrain occupants, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. NHTSA says 1,271,294 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Forest River is recalling certain 2027 Leprechaun and Freelander recreational vehicles. A battery posted mounted breaker may not be installed, leaving the power feed wire without overcurrent protection. A unprotected power feed wire increases the risk of a fire. NHTSA says 21 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- General Motors is recalling certain 2026 Chevrolet Silverado EV and GMC Sierra EV vehicles. A manufacturing defect may result in the steel wheels cracking at the disc vent holes. A cracked wheel may lead to disc separation and a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 952 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Mack Trucks is recalling certain 2025 TerraPro trucks. The steering gearbox fasteners may loosen. A loose steering gearbox can result in a loss of steering, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 341 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Rosenbauer America is recalling certain 2024-2025 Commander, 2026 Commercial M2-106, and Commercial HV507 emergency vehicles, equipped with certain Weldon UV800 Display Unit user interfaces. The display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, fire fighting and other emergency equipment. A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury. NHTSA says 18 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Wabash National Corporation is recalling certain 2027 Van Trailers. The external antilock (ABS) malfunction indicator light may not be labeled. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 121, "Air Brake Systems." An unlabeled ABS light may confuse following drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 533 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Winnebago Industries is recalling certain 2024-2025 Ekko motorhomes. The touchscreen display may register unintended or phantom inputs and turn the generator on without the operator's knowledge. People in an enclosed space, such as a garage, with a running generator may be at an increased risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning. NHTSA says 96 units are potentially affected by the recall and has issued a "Park Outside" warning for those units.
