The following safety recalls were issued Monday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA):
- Chrysler is recalling certain 2026 Ram 2500 Pickup trucks. The trucks may be equipped with steering column control modules that can cause a loss of electronic stability control. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 126, "Electronic Stability Control Systems." A loss of electronic stability control increases risk of a crash. NHTSA says 8,329 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) is recalling certain 2022-2025 Freightliner Business Class M2, 2022-2027 FCCC XCM, FCCC XCR, 2023 Freightliner 108SD, 2024-2027 FCCC XCS and FCCC XBS vehicles equipped with certain Cummins L9 diesel engines. The remote fuel filter hoses may separate from the fitting, causing a fuel leak and an engine stall. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire. An engine stall increases the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 2,592 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2025-2027 F-150 vehicles. The front seats may have been improperly secured to the vehicle. An improperly secured seat may not adequately restrain the seat occupant, increasing the risk of injury during a crash. NHTSA says 2,276 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2015 Transit Connect vehicles that were previously remedied under NHTSA recall number 25V572. The rearview camera may display a distorted, inverted, intermittent, or blank image when the vehicle is in reverse. A rearview camera that displays an inverted, distorted, intermittent, or blank image can reduce the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 506 units are potentially affected by the recall.
- Kalmar Solutions is recalling certain 2014-2026 Ottawa T2 4X2 and 2016-2026 T2 6X4 DOT/EPA terminal tractors. The printed circuit board (PCB) insulation may become damaged, resulting in a short circuit. A short circuit increases the risk of a fire even when the vehicle is parked and the ignition is in the 'Off' position. NHTSA says 16,127 units are potentially affected by the recall and has issued a "Fire Risk Warning" warning for those units.
- Motor Coach Industries is recalling certain 2018-2026 buses. Please see the complete list of models above. The instrument panel indicator light may not illuminate when the hazard warning lights are on and the master run switch is in the 'Off' position. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of FMVSS number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment." Without the illuminated reminder, the driver may fail to turn off the exterior lights when no longer needed. Hazard warning lights that remain activated unintentionally can confuse other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. NHTSA says 683 units are potentially affected by the recall.
