Mitchell 1's Kristy Coffman details enhancements to the company's Manager SE Truck Edition during a press conference Sunday at the ATA's Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Nashville.

Mitchell 1 continues making it easier for medium- and heavy-duty repair shops to stay on top of what's happening in their shops to drive throughput and earnings potential.

Sunday during a press event at ATA's Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) Annual Meeting in Nashville, Mitchell 1 Commercial Vehicle Group Director Kristy Coffman shared how the company has enhanced its Manager SE Truck Edition with a FinditParts e-commerce platform integration and new 'JobView' feature set for estimating and invoices. Also designed to work perfectly in conjunction with its TruckSeries repair and diagnostic software, Coffman says Mitchell 1 customers now have a full suite of tools help shops run more efficiently — from creating estimates to generating invoices and all stops in between.

“We are excited to introduce powerful business management features like FinditParts and Job View that take our commercial vehicle software to the next level,” she says. “Our all-in-one solution for all makes of Class 4-8 vehicles dramatically simplifies repair processes and shop management tasks. It replaces manual tasks with automation and web-based information tools so shops can track business performance and connect with customers, all from one place, and get trucks back on the road faster.”

Coffman says bringing FinditParts' online catalog into its products will directly address parts ordering challenges that delay service work and impact customer downtime. She says FinditParts gives service writers and mechanics instant access to millions of parts in just a few clicks. The e-commerce platform also features advanced search capability, cross-referencing and verified inventory; and with parts ordering directly linked to repair orders, estimates and invoices, Coffman says shop productivity improvements will be immediate.

“Mitchell 1’s strong connection to our customer base provides us with valuable insights into what’s needed to enhance the vehicle repair experience for both shops and vehicle owners. The integration of FindItParts with Manager SE Truck Edition is a significant step forward in solving the pain points experienced by our shop locations daily,” says Coffman.

“FinditParts makes it incredibly easy for technicians to find and order everything from routine items to hard-to-find parts — all within Manager SE. It’s all about saving time and simplifying the process so shops can focus on what they do best — repairing vehicles,” adds Kevin Lydic, vice president of business development at FinditParts, who also attended Sunday's press conference.

Coffman adds the Job View feature will enable users to logically group job-related labor, parts and notes into easy-to-read containers, which improves on-screen clarity and creates cleaner, more understandable documents for customers to facilitate faster approvals.

She the feature also enables shops to keep deferred work organized and ready to sell for a customer’s next visit, ensuring a possible job is never overlooked, and a customer doesn't forget an important repair that could cause future downtime events.

“The clearly organized documents improve the customer experience, facilitating transparent communications between the shop and vehicle owners about the work that needs to be done,” she says. “The shop owner can also quickly confirm the profitability of each individual job to ensure they meet performance goals.”

Coffman adds, “We are continuously updating Manager SE Truck Edition and TruckSeries to address more challenges in the commercial truck repair sector.”
