The Trailblazer Award was launched in 2023 as a mechanism to recognize trucking’s strongest trailer dealer operations for their business excellence, customer service, employee support, community engagement and more. Sponsored by Hendrickson and Procede Software, the Trailblazer Award highlights the critical importance all employees play in the success of a strong dealer operation.
Finalists for this year’s award are Intermountain Trailer, Mountain West Utility Trailer, North American Trailer, Stoops Trailers and Vernon Gene’s. Stoops Trailers and Vernon Gene’s are two-time award finalists after participating in our inaugural program in 2023; the other finalists are being recognized for the first time.
These finalists operate 48 locations combined and represent nearly 20 trailer brands. Intermountain Trailer and Mountain West Utility Trailer are both headquartered in Salt Lake City. North American Trailer is headquartered in Inver Grove Heights, Minn., Stoops Trailers in Indianapolis and Vernon Gene’s in El Paso, Texas.

This year’s award will be presented Oct. 9, at the JW Marriott Tucson Starr Pass during the awards banquet at the 2025 NTDA Convention.
“On behalf of TPS and our parent company Fusable, I am thrilled to announce our list of Trailblazer Award finalists for 2025,” says Lucas Deal, TPS content director. “The Trailblazer Award is one of our industry’s newest award programs but the interest and engagement it has received to date speaks to the incredible importance of trailer dealers. People are hungry and eager to recognize these businesses and that desire comes through in our program.”
All dealers featured in this year’s Trailblazer Award program were nominated by members of the transportation industry through a three-month open nomination period. More than 25 trailer dealers ultimately received nominations for this year’s award, and the finalists selected above were chosen based on the strength of individual business questionnaires each nominated dealer was asked to complete.
TPS will profile each finalist in the months ahead before presenting the 2025 Trailblazer Award at the NTDA Convention. This year’s winner will join prior winners Royal Truck & Utility Trailer (2023), and Superior Trailer Sales, a division of W&B Service Company (2024), in the elite group of Trailblazer winners.
