Traton Group, parent company of International Trucks, reported global first quarter truck sales of 68,600 units Monday, down 6% year over year.

In North America, International sold 13,300 units last quarter, down 21% from 16,900 units in 2025. Traton’s other brands Volkswagen and Scania, were also down year over year at 20% and 6% respectively, while MAN Truck & Bus sales were up 14%.

Traton reports that while the U.S. market has recently shown encouraging signs of an upturn in customer demand, this has not yet had an impact on unit sales.
