PJ Trailers will close its Mt. Orab, Ohio, manufacturing facility on Nov. 8, laying off 116 workers.
The news was announced in a WARN notice to associates on Sept. 9.
“The decision to end operations at the Mount Orab facility reflects the economic realities of the market and the operational steps necessary to sustain the long-term health of our business,” states ATW, parent company of PJ Trailers.

“This decision was not made lightly, and we are committed to supporting our team through this process. We will always be grateful for the employees who came to work every day and produced high-quality products for our customers, as well as the Mount Orab community that became a part of our family.”
ATW adds there is potential for some Mt. Orab employees to transfer to open/available positions to the Big Tex Trailer plant in Batavia, Ohio. Some employees also will be offered severance based on job duties and job placement may be available.
