Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Aug. 2-8, 2021): 

  • Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) announced its new leadership and board of directors. New officers are Nick Seidel of Action Truck Parts as president and Ian Johnston of Harman HVS as vice president.
  • Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) announced Mary Aufdemberg, currently general manager and president of Daimler Trucks Remarketing (DTR), has been appointed general manager of product strategy and market development.
  • National Truck Protection's (NTP) Rick Clark and his son Michael Clark of Daimler Trucks Remarketing are celebrating 100 years for their family in the trucking industry this year. J.C. Wright entered trucking with a job at White Motor Company in 1921. He eventually became dealer principal of North Jersey White Autocar. His son-in-law Richard (Dick) Clark joined the dealership in the 1960s and further expanded the business, first as an International dealer and then through a partnership Dover Diesel Service. His son Rick Clark eventually joined Dover Diesel Service and helped to found Dover Diesel Engine Protection Service — now known as National Truck Protection. And Rick's son Michael first entered the business with Arrow Truck Sales before moving to Daimler.
