Dte LogoGood news, aftermarket distributors! Open spots are still available for the 2021 Distributor Training Expo (DTE), set for Oct. 1-3, 2021, at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta.

After being postponed in 2020 the DTE returns for its five-year anniversary this fall, and event organizers GenNext and the Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) are optimistic this year's event will be the best ever.

The DTE is designed for suppliers interested in training 200 distributor outside sales, parts managers and branch managers from throughout the U.S. and Canada at one time. Supplier attendees have the opportunity to select a Gold or Silver-level sponsorship to attend the event, and each package provides excellent classroom and one-on-one training time with distributor sales professionals from across North America.

The event is equally valuable for distributors.

Distributor attendees experience hands-on product training from subject matter experts from some of the aftermarket's most popular suppliers across multiple days of booth show access. Attendees also have the opportunity to attend classroom training sessions from key supplier partners as well as a keynote address from Stu Schlackman, a renowned speaker and sales consultant.

For those who have not attended the Distributor Training Expo, or question how it differs from other industry events, organizers are quick to note DTE is "a completely different show.

"Buying group shows and HDAW are sales and networking based shows that cater to [a business] principal," organizers says. "This is a training event that caters to the salesperson. Any supplier company that has a focus on training heavy-duty aftermarket inside/outside salespeople and counter people will benefit from this show."

Gold sponsors already confirmed for October's event are Automann USA, DRiV, Haldex, Meritor,  Minimizer and Premier Manufacturing. Silver sponsors are BBB Industries, BettsHD, Dayco Products, Dayton Parts, Delco Remy/BorgWarner, Dorman HD Solutions, Hendrickson, Illinois Auto Truck Co., Kit Masters, SKF, Timken, Triangle Suspension Systems, Truck-Lite and Trux Accessories. (Organizers also note five sponsor positions remain available, and potential sponsors can learn more on the DTE website.)

The early-bird distributor fee to attend the event is $549 through Aug. 15, which includes airfare, hotel rooms, shuttle transportation, all meals and training materials. The price will rise to $649 after early-bird registration concludes. Additionally, organizers have introduced a new driver reimbursement program this year for distributors near the Atlanta area who may choose to drive to the event. Organizers say distributors who drive to the event (up to 600 miles round trip) are eligible for the program, and mileage calculation will be based on a company’s mailing address. Attendees who drive will be reimbursed at 60 cents per mile.

GenNext and CVSN say many distributor spots have already been filled for the event, so interested parties are recommended to sign up as soon as possible. For more information, and to sign up, please CLICK HERE.
