The following employment announcements were made in the trucking industry the week of Oct. 14, 2024: 

  • Continental Tire names Ashok Vedanayagam as head of marketing in the Americas.
  • Former ATA President and CEO Thomas J. Donohue died Monday. He was 86.
  • BRW has appointed Derek Walcott as executive vice president of Strategy and Administration and Tim Comstock as executive vice president of Operations.
  • Shur-Co has appointed Thomas Bronz to president – Agriculture, Construction & Waste.
  • Chris Johnstone was named director of partnerships for Ten Four Truck Insurance. 
  • Desi Ujkashevic was appointed to the Motiv Electric Trucks board of directors. 
  • CVSN has announced its board of directors for the 2024-2025 term.
  • Joe Boyle, UPS Corporate Transportation president, was named to the American Transportation Research Institute board of directors. 
  • Kevin Maves and Carl Thigpen were named sales managers for Felling Trailers. They will cover the western U.S.
