Don Reimondo, longtime aftermarket leader known for shepherding the merger of HD America and Truck Pride into HDA Truck Pride, was presented the President’s Award at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Solutions Network (CVSN) Summit Tuesday in Washington, D.C.
CVSN’s President’s Award is awarded to a single recipient for extraordinary contributions to the independent aftermarket. CVSN states Reimondo’s decades of leadership and service have left an indelible mark on the aftermarket and the people who make it thrive.
“Leadership is not demanded, it is earned, and Don is the perfect example,” says CVSN Chair Ian Johnston. “He has been a mentor, a confidant and a unifier. Don helped shape the pillars of CVSN and guided our board in setting the vision that still drives us today. There is no one more deserving of this recognition.”
Reimondo spent his career in the heavy-duty aftermarket, working across supplier, distributor, and manufacturing sides of the business. He led HDA Truck Pride as president and CEO, helped shape CVSN’s direction, and has always been known for pulling people together around a common goal. He’s also served on boards with CVSN and the Auto Care Association. In 2020, the industry honored him with induction into the Heavy Duty Aftermarket Hall of Fame at HDAW.
Before receiving the award, Reimondo was congratulated by nearly a dozen industry colleagues for his impressive career in the industry and his tireless efforts to support the industry and move it forward.
Accepting the award, Reimondo thanked his family, who was in attendance, and his colleagues throughout the room. Reimondo also urged everyone at the Summit to remain engaged in the aftermarket, stating it is the collaborations, relationships and networking of the aftermarket that makes the industry so unique, successful and rewarding.
Jones nabs ‘Driving Force’ Award
CVSN also presented its newest award, the ‘Driving Force’ Award to Don Jones. Jones was founding member of Truck Service Inc., of Indianapolis, and most recently served as president of Service Specialists Association (SSA) who helped integrate SSA under CVSN’s umbrella earlier last fall.
CVSN says its new Driving Force Award is a discretionary honor reserved for individuals whose lifetime of advocacy and service has left a lasting impact on the independent commercial vehicle aftermarket. It is not presented every year, but only when an individual’s contributions rise to a level that calls for special recognition.
Jones has devoted more than 50 years to the industry.
“Don Jones is the definition of a driving force: selfless service, leadership, mentorship, and steady work that lifts an entire industry. On behalf of CVSN, we are proud to present this inaugural Driving Force Award to Don Jones, along with the appreciation of everyone in this room,” says CVSN Executive Director Edward Kuo.
