Registration open for 2015 Heavy Duty Leadership course

Northwood University and its University of the Aftermarket program has opened registration for its 2015 Heavy Duty Leadership course.

The week-long course is a cornerstone in the industry’s efforts to foster the development of a new generation of visionary executives who will help drive the heavy-duty aftermarket to new levels. The University of the Aftermarket says the program is an intense and intellectually challenging one-week residential executive development program designed for early to mid-career, management-track heavy-duty professional in all market segments.

This year’s class will be held July 12-17, 2015, at Northwood’s campus in Midland, Mich.

According to the University of the Aftermarket, Heavy Duty Leadership is led by top heavy-duty industry leaders who collaborate with faculty from Northwood University’s DeVos Graduate School of Management and the University of the Aftermarket. This unique partnership allows for a mix of the practical and theoretical, appropriate for all levels of the heavy-duty aftermarket.

The Heavy Duty Leadership experience includes a blend of industry research and market analysis, discussion and debate of new challenges and competitive strategies, individual skills training in team management, leadership roles, strategic thinking and planning, insight into supply-chain solutions and industry trends, as well as engaging presentations by industry leaders.

Topics covered are said to include global competition in heavy-duty technology, team management and development, developing your organization’s unique strategy in multi-channel markets, strategic management of internal assets, succession planning and more.

The University says participants receive 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) toward completion of their Automotive Aftermarket Professional (AAP) or Master Automotive Aftermarket Professional (MAAP) certificates.
