The American Council of Frame & Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS) will hold a technician education program at the Delphi Training Center in Troy, Mich., next month.

The course will focus on engine and after treatment technology and required maintenance. Scheduled for Dec. 16, registration for the clinic is open on the ACOFAS website.

ACOFAS says specific topics on the agenda include:

  • Particulate filter diagnostic and maintenance
  • Injectors and how to diagnose
  • Understanding trim codes and how they work
  • Basic diagnostics of fuel pumps, how they work and how to diagnose
  • How to diagnose and repair rails

Additionally, ACOFAS says the course will address Level 4 diagnoses, which require a vehicle to be returned to a dealer for specific service. Delphi Aftermarket Sales Manager Simon Lynch will lead the course.

Interested parties who sign up for the course also can book a hotel room at the Embassy Suites Troy/Auburn Hills for the group rate of $119 per night, plus breakfast through Monday, Nov. 14. Registration for the hotel is available here.
