Xantrex has updated its popular “Tech Doctor” on-line educational series of articles.
According to Mitul Chandrani, senior marketing manager for Schneider Electric and the Xantrex brand, the tutorials are designed to give users on-going technical information to get the most out of their inverters and electrical systems.
The latest story, posted by Don Wilson, Xantrex’s technical applications engineer, discusses inverter “inputs” – and that means either DC power feeding the inverter, or AC power for battery charging and bypass load operation. “If a user doesn’t think the inverter is receiving full power, this tutorial will help with troubleshooting,” says Chandrani.
The Tech Doctor also program includes numerous articles and videos that aim to answer frequently asked questions, troubleshoot problems, and provide technical insight.
“The ultimate goal is to help end-users get the most out of their inverters – every application and electrical usage is different,” says Chandrani. “And, for truckers, inverters are often a ‘must-have’ so installation, proper usage and how many devices can be used at one time, along with tips on occasional maintenance are addressed.”
Chandrani adds there also is a section where drivers and techs can submit questions.
“We really want to support our customers, and really all inverter users,” he says. “Our products can be factory-installed by nearly all of the truck OEMs, so we’re here to answer any questions that are out there. Our inverters are virtually maintenance-free, but inverter technology on the whole is not question-free. That’s why we’ve developed this ongoing section on our website to serve as a valuable educational resource.”
