Stone Truck Parts, a North Carolina-based truck parts distributor and the 2010 Truck Parts & Service Distributor of the Year, has moved into its new branch location and corporate office space in Garner, N.C.
The new facility is located three miles away from Stone’s original location. Given its nearly 75,000 sq. ft. size, it is four times as large as the former Garner facility. With frontage on a major corridor, the company believes the location will dramatically improve the company’s visibility and accessibility.
But according to Andrew Purcell, Stone’s sales and marketing manager, the real benefit comes back to customer service.
“As our customers trend towards just-in-time inventories, it is more important than ever for Stone to actively grow in a positive way to meet their needs,” says Purcell. “Our newly-expanded space allows for us to have the right parts in stock for them, and allows our branches to have access to more inventory.”
The building received a complete facelift inside and out and was retrofitted to house a full counter and showroom. Another bonus to moving into the new facility is the 22,000 sq. ft. shop area that will give Stone the option of adding repair services in the future, the company says.
“With the space we have now and the hard work our employees will put toward improving efficiency, delivery and the services we offer, I think our customers will be pleased to see our commitment to growing in such a positive way,” says Purcell.
The company plans to have an open house in early 2015 to celebrate its expansion. Stone’s newest facility is open for business at 1120 US Hwy 70 West in Garner. The location hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
