Gregory’s Fleet Supply is celebrating its 50-year anniversary in 2015.
The aftermarket parts distributor, located in Virginia Beach, Va., was founded by Claude Gregory Jr. in 1965.
In speaking with the Virginia Beach Beacon about his company’s milestone, Gregory, now 86, says the success of his business today can be traced back to the strategies his implemented in the 1960s. Specifically, a relentless dedication to customer service.
“One thing is certain, a phone works two ways,” Gregory says. “I pick it up and call people every day because you can’t wait for them to come to you; you have to go to them.”
Gregory’s Fleet Supply sells light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicle parts, and has a offering machine shop and driveline repair business. A member of HDA Truck Pride, Gregory’s Fleet Supply is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.
