W.W. Williams acquires mobile service company

The W.W. Williams Company, LLC, has completed the acquisition of Desert Fleet-Serv Inc. (DFS), a mobile provider of onsite maintenance and repair services for diesel trucks and trailers. Terms of the private transaction were not disclosed.

Headquartered in Phoenix, DFS’s ASE-certified technicians provide a comprehensive range of commercial vehicle maintenance and repair services, including diesel engine diagnostic, lubrication and other related services. Founded in 1995, the company has more than 200 customers in the metropolitan Phoenix area, the company says.

“DFS has been a driving force in the onsite fleet maintenance and mechanical repair service of large trucks and trailers in the Phoenix metropolitan area for 21 years,” says Jamie Koven, senior managing director at One Equity Partners, a middle market private equity firm that owns W.W. Williams. “This tuck-in acquisition helps W.W. Williams further expand its services in a key geographic market, positioning the company for further national growth.”

One Equity Partners acquired a majority equity interest in W.W. Williams in August 2016.

“We’re thrilled about DFS joining our Company as we look to strengthen the range of our large-vehicle fleet maintenance and repair services,” says Alan Gatlin, chief executive of W.W. Williams. “The addition of this great team will ensure we continue to provide our customers with best-in-class service.”
