Snap-on introduces its EEAC-Series Polartek A/C machines to repair vehicle A/C systems.
Snap-on says the four products featured in the line are:
- EEAC330 Polartek is the entry level member of the Polartek family of faster-than-ever recycling machines. It has a new 5 in. graphic display, side pocket for hose storage and vehicle database. The vacuum pump is 3 CFM, 2 stage, and on-board oil injection is automatic.
- EEAC331 Polartek Plus is a part of the Polartek series that offers easier filter changes, vehicle database upgrades, service archive, automatic on-board oil injection, refillable R134a refrigerant tank and tank heater. It features a market leading 7 in. graphic touchscreen display, thermal printer, status light, side pocket for hose storage and cord wrap, all in addition to a single-stage, 6 CFM vacuum pump.
- EEAC332 Polartek Hybrid is specifically for hybrid vehicles and works on R134a refrigerant with most of the same outstanding features as the Polartek Plus.
- EEAC333 Polartek YF handles the “low global warming potential” YF refrigerant in vehicles introduced in 2013 that will be mandated by 2021.
According to Roxanne Stowell, a Snap-on product manager, these A/C machines are the coolest available because the larger CFM pump, status light, database, printer and user-friendly graphics are all standard, where other machines either don’t have them or come at an extra cost. All Polartek units have 120 in. service hoses, a 30-pound refillable refrigerant tank, setup software guide and vehicle database as standard, Snap-on says.
