AFA Industries says it now offers forged steel friction welded one-piece pistons for Caterpillar C-15 engines in its In-Frame and Complete Overhaul Kits.
AFA says the new piston’s design features a stronger ring land for better ring seating and our exclusive formula Manganese Phosphate coating that insures less wear on break-in and additional protection against high Sulfur diesel fuel corrosion. The company adds it is important to have the exact engine serial number when specifying these kits as some of them are for 550HP and below engines.
