Snap-on is introducing two new post-style socket trays, the first in the market to accommodate storage for shallow, deep and, now, semi-deep sockets, the company says.

These Snap-on exclusive trays feature a middle row with posts sized specifically for semi-deep sockets. The 3/8″ and 1/4″ trays make it easy to move sockets around the shop and identify the socket size required for a job.

“Technicians expressed a need to have a socket storage layout with a place for semi-deep sockets, as well as the shallow and deep,” says Jay Serpe, a Snap-on project manager. “Two-row trays have long been popular, and these new three-row trays are an innovation that will make locating the right tool easier and shave minutes off a task that can eat away at a tech’s day.”

Both the KA383 (3/8″) and KA143 (1/4″) are designed for chrome or impact sockets and come in fractional or metric sizes. The trays are available in four color options – red, black, extreme green and electric orange. Each tray has a printed pad with socket size on each post.
