The Inland Truck Parts & Service in Wichita, Kan., is growing for a great reason.

The company announced Monday it has stepped up to offer help when the nearby Wichita-based Fleet Maintenance Inc., was destroyed in a fire. Fleet Maintenance, which has been a mainstay in Kansas truck service and repair since the mid-1960s, recently caught fire due to an explosion in its building, leaving approximately 20 employees jobless.

Inland says it has offered positions to the majority of the Fleet Maintenance employees, and at the same time is expanding the services and offerings of its Wichita store.

“This combination solidifies our position as the leading independent service provider for the heavy-duty market in Wichita, but more importantly it allows us to extend a helping hand to people who were impacted by a tragedy. We are thrilled to add these highly qualified and dedicated employees to the Inland team,” says Greg Klein, CEO of Inland Truck Parts & Service.

The new employees will be part of a 100 percent employee-owned company, and Inland is happy for the opportunity to assist these individuals and their families.
