Penray introduces machine oil for specialty applications

Penray Inc. Wednesday introduced a specialty machine oil for the food transportation and processing industries. Penray’s new 4571 Machine Oil is for applications involved in transporting, processing, and storing food products.

“We have a long history of providing specialty lubricants for industry and transportation markets. This product meets the special needs and demands of the food transportation and foodservice industries,” says Greg Mixon, director of sales, heavy-duty division at Penray.

Penray says its new machine oil is composed of liquid petrolatum USP and propellant, and is especially well-suited for use in food transport, processing and dairy equipment. It also fully complies with FDA regulations, CFR Title 21, paragraphs 172.878 and 178.3620. Once applied, it leaves a pure food grade oil film, the company says.

Penray Machine Oil has features that make it an excellent choice for a wide variety of applications, the company adds. It is suitable for use in temperatures from 0°F to 450°F, making it effective for use in both refrigerated and high temperature environments. It provides long-lasting lubrication, and protects against rust, oxidation and wear.

Penray states the aerosol product is ideal for use on lift gates, fork lifts,  rollers, conveyors, hinges, latches, bearings, and many other places where access is limited and where an aerosol product provides better access than direct manual application. It is an excellent choice for food handling industries such as meat packing and poultry processing, breweries, dairies, bakeries, and in grocery stores and supermarkets.
