Dickinson Fleet Services has acquired Fleet Technology & Maintenance Corporation (FTM) and Truck City Body Company, the company announced Tuesday.

Dickinson Fleet Services, along with majority shareholder Ridgemont Equity Partners, say this acquisition continues Dickinson’s rapid growth trajectory and further solidifying the company’s position in the south Florida fleet services market. The acquisition will position Dickinson Fleet Services as one of the largest independent truck repair and fleet management companies in south Florida and add to the company’s growing national presence.

“We are very excited to have the opportunity to expand our service offering in the south Florida market,” says Ted Coltrain and Mike Dickinson, executive officers in a joint statement on behalf of Dickinson Fleet Services. “Since entering this market eight years ago, we have recognized Fleet Technology & Maintenance Corporation as being an outstanding provider with a strong reputation for providing exceptional service. Sergio Aguirre, President of FTM, and his team have developed a strong reputation for providing their customers with outstanding communication and high-quality service in the safest and most reputable manner, which is in complete alignment with our core principles.”

Fleet Technology and Maintenance Corporation is one of the largest independent truck repair and fleet management companies in south Florida offering both mobile on-site services and shop services.

“Our entire team at FTM is very excited for this opportunity to formally partner with the growing team at Dickinson Fleet Services. Together, we are positioned to bring tremendous value and scale to the south Florida market and better serve our customers,” says Sergio Aguirre, president. Aguirre will now join Dickinson Fleet Services, bringing his years of experience to provide a vital leadership role in the Florida market.

Truck City Body Company offers a variety of collision repair and paint services for all heavy trucks, commercial buses and trailers. The company has been serving the south Florida fleet community for over 25 years.

“In addition to the acquisition of FTM, we are excited to expand our services of collision repair along with paint and refurbishment service to our customers in south Florida. Truck City Body Company has a state-of-the-art facility with outstanding employees and complements the other commercial body shop facilities within Dickinson Fleet Services,” adds Coltrain and Dickinson.

The acquisition of Fleet Technology Maintenance Corporation and Truck City Body Company represents the sixth acquisition completed by DFS in partnership with Ridgemont Equity Partners since Ridgemont’s investment in Dickinson in the spring of 2017. These acquisitions have allowed DFS to significantly expand its service offerings and geographic reach, while also allowing its team members the ability to experience incredible career growth opportunities, the company says.
