Action Truck Parts holds successful charity event

Action Truck Parts Vice President Nick Seidel and Nick Lorenz, Special Olympics Global MessengerAction Truck Parts held its first annual charity golf outing on June 27 at the Links at Carillon Golf Course in Plainfield, Ill.

The event attracted 149 golfing attendees and raised well over $18,000 for the Special Olympics Illinois. Funds raised came from golfers, businesses, sponsors, attendees at the event, and numerous individuals who contributed.

Nick Lorenz, Special Olympics Global Messenger and athlete, kicked off the event with a ceremonial tee off on the first hole of the course. He also spoke at the event’s dinner. “Special Olympics has changed my life and lives of thousands of others here in Illinois. I want all of you to know that you make a difference in our live,” he said.

Action Truck Parts Vice President Nick Seidel also deemed the event a success.

“I want to personally thank all of the sponsors and attendees that came to our first annual charity golf event benefitting Special Olympics Illinois. Our event was sold out for the first year, and we plan to carry that momentum into the years to come,” he said. “Special Olympics Illinois is a great cause because of the number of lives they touch. Thank you for helping make our inaugural charity golf outing a huge success.”
