Who’s in the news: Our weekly trucking employment report

The following employment changes were announced to the trucking industry last week (Oct. 21-27, 2019).

  • Double Coin and CMA has added David Misbrener as the company’s new national OEM manager and has promoted Tim Abel as national truckstop manager and Adriaan Van Niekerk as regional manager for the Southwest region.
  • Lubrication Specialties (LSI) has promoted Brett Tennar, LSI’s former plant manager and vice president of operations, to president.
  • Peach State Truck Centers in Byron, Ga., has named Brian Green as the dealership’s new branch manager.
  • Universal Technical Institute announced Kimberly J. McWaters has advised the board she will retire as CEO effective Oct. 31, 2019. McWaters will continue to serve on the board of directors as a non-executive director. Jerome A. Grant, the company’s executive vice president and chief operating officer will become CEO and join the board of directors Nov. 1, 2019.
  • Yokohama Tire has a named Pavan Desaneni vice president of information technology.
  • Trevor Ash, vice president of sales and marketing, CIMC Intermodal Equipment, has been elected to fill the Supplier Division seat on the Intermodal Association of North America board for 2020.
  • John Callos, retired Phillips Industries sales executive, has died.
