
The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) and MacKay & Company announce Bill Strauss, senior economist and economic advisor of the Chicago Federal Reserve, will present a session entitled The Global Economic Overview at the eighth annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Dialogue (HDAD) conference next month in Grapevine, Texas, preceding Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW).
In his session, Strauss will discuss individual global economics with a historic, present, and anticipated outlook in key geographical regions. He will cover what is currently impacting the relationships between countries including USMCA, global tariffs, and the possible 2020 economic slowdown. HDAD organizers say attendees will learn how these factors could potentially impact the truck industry today and in the future.
Additional HDAD sessions will feature individual presenters and separate distribution executive panel discussions with primary topics that include:

HDAD will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, in the Texas Ballroom at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Conference Center in Grapevine, Texas. HDAD registration is now open. It is intended to facilitate networking with industry peers and will include digital presentation materials, breakfast, breaks, a networking luncheon, and the HDAW 2020 All-Industry Reception.
