KEA Advisors recently hosted its inaugural Executive Leadership Day last month in Atlanta.
KEA Advisors' Managing Shareholder Keith Ely hosted the one-day event on Sept. 20. Allen Phibbs, director of education, KEA Advisors, opened the day having participants engage in the Maxwell Leadership Game, an organizational leadership assessment in a non-threatening, dynamic “round table” group setting designed to be an enjoyable, yet challenging experience. KEA Advisors says the goal of the game was to increase the leadership value within a business, raise the leadership awareness of a team and introduce the timeless leadership principles that will bring about positive change through communication and connection.
Dan Argiro, Commercial Truck Partner, Performance Brokerage Services, then lead a discussion of the importance of leadership in successful buy/sell transactions for buyers or sellers.
After that, Chris Goede, executive vice president, Corporate Training, Maxwell Leadership Enterprise, engaged participants in an introduction to John Maxwell’s 5 Levels of Leadership program, based on his book bearing the same title. Participants were challenged with the question “What does it look like on the other side of your leadership?” They were asked to identify key attributes of the greatest leaders in their lives.
Goede also summarized the progression of the five levels of leadership and took a deeper dive into level 2 Permission and Relationships where participants engaged in individual and group activities centered around “connecting through communication”.
KEA Advisors says participants had positive takeaways:
- “The day was very beneficial, and time well spent.”
- “It was great to hear how aligned we are on valuing and leading teams. The leadership development journey never ends. I certainly learned something and will strive to be a better leader. Thank you for facilitating this event.”
- “The day was full of great content, and I found it extremely beneficial and engaging.”
Future KEA Executive Leadership Days are planned. Invitations are being prepared for April 2023 in Dallas. For more information on KEA Executive Leadership day please reach out directly to Allen Phibbs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
