Associated Equipment product named a ‘Top 20 Tool’

Associated Equipment Corporation (AEC) announces the KS401 Professional Heavy Duty Industrial Jump Start was selected as winner of MOTOR Magazine’s prestigious Top 20 Tools Award.

The KS401 is featured in the September 2016 issue as a new, exciting and innovative product for professional technicians and shop owners, AEC says.

“While jump starters are not new to this industry, the KS401 was designed and patented here in the US keeping professional technicians in mind.  All of the unique tooling was made in the St. Louis area, including the proprietary injection molds for the KS401 housing, minimizing the possibility of “copy-cat” products,” says Kim Cottle, president and CEO of Associated Equipment. “We want to provide a product that has long-term value for our customers.”

AEC says the KS401 has a unique and ergonomic design, a heavy-duty impact-resistant case and rubberized base to survive accidental drops. The Plastisol-coated steel clamps and industry-leading 84 in. cables also are replaceable in the field, which the company says makes the unit highly serviceable and unlike any other portable power unit on the market.

Another unique and key feature of the KS401 is what is called, “lite diagnostics,” which AEC says means that when hooked to the vehicle battery the KS401 will measure and display the voltage output of the vehicle battery, and when the vehicle is started, the KS401 will measure and display the alternator output of the vehicle eliminating the need for another tool such as a voltmeter.
