Dayton Parts introducing spiral king pins at HDAW

Updated May 16, 2019

Dayton Parts announced Wednesday it will present its new Truefit Express spiral king pins at the upcoming Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2019 in Las Vegas.

Dayton Parts says the new king pin kits join the company’s extensive steer axle product line providing a comprehensive range of replacement steering solutions for commercial vehicle applications. Designed for extended life, the Truefit Express king pin features spiral grooves to facilitate grease delivery to high-wear areas. For simplified maintenance, Dayton Parts says the kits are inclusive of no-ream bushings and a simple to use t-handle tool for quick, consistent installation.

“The Truefit Express offers the quick and easy installation providing hassle-free steer axle repair, without the added costs of reamers and presses,” says Jason Miller, product manager, steering and trailer parts, Dayton Parts. “The bushing is engineered to match the king pin providing a proper fit even if the king pin bore has small imperfections. The combination of features offers the performance of a standard bi-metal king pin set getting a vehicle back on the road even faster than previous “no-ream” style king pin sets, saving both time and money for the end-user.”

Dayton Parts says the king pins and bushings are made of durable alloy steel that meets or exceeds OEM standards. The kits are available for a variety of vehicles and fit multiple axle applications. The initial offering consists of 21 king pin sets which will cover approximately 90 percent of the market.

Additionally, the new king pin offering is covered by the Dayton Parts standard one-year aftermarket warranty and will be stocked at the company’s Harrisburg, Pa.; Lewisville, Texas; Las Vegas, Nev.; Edmonton, Alberta; and Mississauga, Ontario facilities. The parts will be on display in booth 521 at HDAW. Dayton Parts also will be participating in the Product Sales Training Program on Jan. 30, 2019, featuring Truefit Express, Truefit Plus and air disc brakes.
