Karmak nabs key competitor, expands position in market

Karmak kwke Ap B96gKarmak is growing. The company announced Monday it has acquired long-time competitor DSI Solutions. The acquisition is effective Sept. 30, 2025. 

The move strengthens Karmak’s leadership position in the heavy-duty software market, expands product offerings and significantly increases market share.

With the addition of DSI’s Blaze platform and its team of experienced employees, Karmak will now serve more than 700 additional account locations. The company states the acquisition continues Karmak’s mission to Defend, Extend and Transcend the Core, fueling innovation, delivering exceptional customer experiences and achieving new levels of growth.

As part of the acquisition, DSI CEOs Vic Watson and Ben Cramer will join the Karmak team, bringing decades of industry expertise and deep customer relationships.

Says Watson, “For years, DSI has been committed to delivering value and innovation to our customers. Joining forces with Karmak allows us to take that mission even further. Together, we’ll accelerate product development, strengthen support and offer more options for customers navigating the road ahead.”

Karmak says this acquisition gives Karmak more than 50% of Paccar’s DMS market share, and will offer all users greater choice and flexibility.
